LifeLock Protection Given to Semtech Employees

Semtech, a technology company in Camarillo, CA, had a laptop computer and other personal belongings stolen from one of its vendors in late September 2007. The computer was not stolen from a Semtech facility, but  it may have contained computerized data relating to Semtech employees.

The vendor that lost the laptop will pay for identity-theft protection services for all of Semtech’s employees for one year. They chose LifeLock's identity theft protection services for the 690 employees who were affected. LifeLock immediately kicked in gear and put all necessary safeguards in place to be sure no one will be defrauded by identity thieves.
